The organizers of the technology conference DevFest for Ukraine will hold the event online and raise funds to help Ukraine. The IT conference will be held on May 14-15 and plans to raise 50 thousand dollars to support Ukrainians during the war.

With these funds, you can buy about 500 first-aid kits, or 160 flak jackets, or 30 tons of humanitarian aid that can save the lives of thousands of Ukrainians. The organizers plan to send the funds to three Ukrainian volunteer organizations: “Come Back Alive“, “Nova Ukraine” and “Voices of Children“.

At the conference 20 presentations were announced on the topics of Web, Android, and AI from first-class technical speakers from Google, Meta and other global companies. Speakers include:

  • Chet Haase is the author of the book “Androids. The team that built the Android”
  • Una Kravets —  Staff Developer Relations Engineer in the Google Chrome team
  • Toby Walsh is an artificial intelligence professor in Sydney.

Participants will also be able to communicate with more than 1000 development colleagues from around the world, and most importantly — to support an important cause: to help Ukraine and Ukrainians resist in the fight against the russian aggressor.
