From November 29 to December 1 annual world trade show IBTM World (Incentive Business Travel and Meeting) took place in Barcelona, which isone of the key events in Meetings’ industry.
Throughout 3 days the representatives of Lviv Convention Bureau presented Lviv on united Ukrainian stand jointly with nine other participants of travel market of Ukraine, among whom were Kyiv Convention and Visitors Bureau, travel companies, hotel chains and others.
During the exhibition LCB held more than 20 meetings with hosted buyers from Poland, Germany, Lithuania, Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Italy, etc. Lviv as a business destination was also of interest to guests from Switzerland, Spain, the USA and the Czech Republic.
Overall, the exhibition brought together about 15 500 professionals of the industry. The participants of the exhibition also had the opportunity to participate in intense knowledge programme. Discussion topics were up-to-date: innovations in Meetings’ industry, its development in the period of unstable political situation in the region, trends in the organization of events in 2017.
The next step will be fam-tour to Lviv in February 2017 for foreign meeting planners’ who showed particular interest in Lviv as a meetings’ destination.
