Summer School for medical students “Integrative Approaches In Systems Physiology” is taking place in Lviv these days (August 12-18). It is organized by Teaching Medical Skills project in cooperation with The Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen and the German-Ukrainian Academic Society. Students will take part in lectures by leading scientists and clinicians at the Universities of Tubingen, Munich, Lubeck and Saarland.

A round table discussion was held on Tuesday, August 13. The topic was “Medical Education in Ukraine: International Cooperation”.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Mayor of Lviv for Development Andriy Moskalenko, organizers of International Summer School, scholars from Germany and Ukraine, students from Munich and Ukrainian cities, coordinator of the Teaching Medical Skills project Daryna Kechur, and director of Lviv Convention Bureau  Andriy Pavliv.

The participants discussed the quality of education in Lviv and Ukraine, international cooperation, innovation in education system, support for Ukrainian young generation, events, conferences in the city.

Summer School is a seven-day training for medical students at Ukrainian medical universities focusing on various aspects of neuro and cardiophysiology. 50 students were selected to participate in the school.

The program provides educational lectures, seminars, workshops and discussion of  clinical cases.
