On 11-14 September the representatives of Lviv Convention Bureau visited Gdansk and Krakow, 2 of 4 top meetings destinations in Poland, for internship. For 4 days they held meetings with the representatives of Polish tourist and MICE industry, made site inspection of congress and exhibition venues, and also participated in Gala of Ambassadors of Poland.

The internship started with a visit to Gdansk Tourism Organization (GOT), which consists of approximately 140 members, including Gdansk Convention Bureau, PCO, tour operators, hotels, and other institutions. The delegates held meetings with director of Active Tours company, which has been operating on the market for 28 years and is a certified Polish Tourism Organisation (POT); organizers of the large-scale charity race Poland Business Run, and educational and business project Gdansk Business Week.

LCB representatives visited the exhibition and congress center Amber Expo and European Center of Solidarity, which is the original cultural institution. Good ideas for incentive trips were visits to a castle Gnew, restored historic site, and Volkswagen Museum, a family hobby that has become a business.

On the last evening of internship the delegates participated in Gala of Ambassadors of Poland, took place at ICE Krakow. The Ambassadors program covers the whole country. Gala of Ambassadors is held annually in another city. This year Poland chose 17 Honorary Ambassadors who will promote their country as a destination for international and national MICE events.

We would like to thank Mr. Myroslav Boruschak, the Honorary Ambassador of Lviv, for the opportunity take over a new experience.
