Lviv Convention Bureau together with the Emmaus member ‘Oselya’ applied to host Emmaus World Assembly 2016 in Lviv.
Carrying out 18th World Assembly in Lviv will provide a great opportunity to spread the idea of international movement “Emmaus” throughout Ukraine, as the only representative of this movement is in our city. If World Assembly of the “Emmaus” movement will be held in Ukraine it will also draw attention of the Ukrainian state, public and media to the problem of poverty that so many fellow citizens are facing right now.
Nowadays Lviv is not only a cultural capital of Ukraine, but it is a very important business center of Western Ukraine with well-developed infrastructure. Modern airport named after Danylo Halytskyi, stadium ‘Arena Lviv’, more than 70 hotels of various categories, a wide range of dining options will pledge excellent conditions for effective work of Delegates of the Assembly. Lviv offers reasonable prices, European quality, developed infrastructure scientific and historical heritage. Central part of the city had been listed as UNESCO historic heritage, so here numerous museums, monuments of architecture and art are situated.
Lviv has many years of experience in providing large-scale international events; every year there are numerous forums, conferences and congresses. So professional team of specialists will carefully plan and conduct the Assembly at the highest level.
It is our first tender application and we hope that Lviv can get such a high honor to hold Emmaus World Assembly 2016. We are eagerly looking forward to receive this chance!
